Ten years and more of a decline have left us in a serious situation. But I see this as an opportunity to change course. My first action will be to start the process of giving all our educators an increase in their salaries in line with our nation’s average. Additionally guaranteeing future increases to bring them back in line with where they should be. This simple step will help keep quality and qualified educators in our state.

This will, in turn, help our children get the type of education we all want. It will also lead to my next goal which is bringing back classes in the arts as well as shop-type classes to introduce students to career choices they may not have considered.

As Whitney said, “teach them well and let them lead the way, show them all the beauty they possess inside.” As your State Representative, I will help make this happen.
